The Hy-View Fire Company answers emergencies in Fire District No. 8, which is located in the Northeast corner of the Town of Cheektowaga. It covers approximately 3 square miles and has over 2000 residential structures, as well as a number of commercial buildings. Hy-View Fire Company responds to a variety of emergencies including: Fires, Automobile Accidents, First Aids, Rescues, and Airport Emergencies. Hy-View Fire District #8, is one of three Cheektowaga Fire Districts, that border the Greater Buffalo Niagara International Airport. The fire company responds on the 2nd alarm for emergency incidents at the airport.
Over the years, Hy-View has grown from very meager beginnings; not having a table or chair to sit on, with bare bones equipment and a handful of committed volunteers. Through this community of caring people, we’ve built an excellent fire company and strong district. None of this success could have been possible without the efforts of past and present members: the founders, fire chiefs, presidents, line and executive officers, the ladies auxiliary, and especially the firemen.
